Happy Easter
And, yes, before you say anything, I know I missed an entry yesterday.
Believe it or not, I’ve been busy.
In addition to getting ready for my trip to England (more on this anon), I’ve been trying to get a job done before I go. The job is retyping a script, which takes longer than you think. As there is a good chance I will be working with this script next month, you could say I’m doing myself a favour. Actually, I’m doing Rhodo Dave the favour and my reward will be two new rhodos, one of which, I hope, will be beautifully scented.
My trip. What a nightmare. Well, no, not really, but I quickly realised I should have booked to go for three weeks rather than a fortnight. There isn’t a single free day on my calendar. Not that I’m not looking forward to seeing family and friends, because I really am, but a couple of chilling days might be nice. Alas, I can’t afford to change the ticket I couldn’t afford to buy. And the cat sitter wouldn’t be available the third week anyway. Oh, well.
Things I’m eagerly anticipating (other than simply seeing family and friends):
- Going to the theatre. Twice! (And one of those in Stratford!)
- Going to art exhibitions. Two! (An Impressionist and a Picasso.)
- Picking up – and reading – the Guardian every morning.
- Just being in London for a while, despite the breakneck pace.
The one thing to which I am not looking forward is having to remember to keep my bag zipped and, when seated, on my lap at all times. I have lost track of the number of times I’ve had my wallet nicked in London and I am so lackadaisical about keeping an eye on it here.
Anyway, time’s up and I need to get back to that script.
TTFN.
I get it. Busy? Yes, I grow rhododendrons. I know ‘busy’.
