There are many great things about living on this island. For example…

… where else would you see a sign like this on the side of the road? (Yes, we do have a superabundance of “free range” turkeys. Why did the turkeys cross the road? To stop traffic.)

If there is one downside, it is that, with a fairly small population, there are only so many performances for which you can expect to find audiences. In our case it’s four. All those rehearsals, all that work and you only get four shows.

And so yesterday, after a sold out Sunday matinee, it was time for the final bows.

Then, of course, there was the cast party which was a lot of fun.

And now what? That’s always the question. That feeling of anti-climax, of being a little bit lost.

Well, for one thing, I should probably do something with the garden now that I’ve managed to find a house and cat sitter, so the garden can get watered while I’m away in August. Nearly the middle of June and I’ve done pretty much nothing. And now that the weather seems to be improving (touch wood), I really don’t have an excuse.

I’ll get right on that.

Maybe tomorrow.
