Happiest New Year

New Year’s Eve has never been a big thing for me. I’m sure there must have been some good ones over the years, but, honestly I don’t remember. (Oh, hang on, there was one in New York when I was in my early twenties and another in Paris some time in the 2000s. Yeah, okay, they were pretty good.)

Last night, thanks to good friends and some potent weed, I had the best New Year’s Eve I think I’ve ever had in my life. Lots of love and so much laughter.

As I’ve already said, the last thing I expected when 2024 began was that it would end that way. Or that I would be looking forward to a new year with almost giddy anticipation.

It’s a funny old world, innit?
