All I want for Christmas
I said it back in January when my left front tooth was extracted and after I heard how long it would be before I actually got the implant: all I wanted for Christmas was my new front tooth. And now I have it. It cost more than my car, but at least I can stop worrying about ending up in hospital with my retainer missing. Yippee!!!!
Now perhaps it’s time to get on with some other Christmas prep. (Finally got the cards in the post yesterday. Almost no chance the UK ones will get there on time. Oh, well.)
There are liqueur chocolate truffles to be made.
After five (or is it six?) days, it’s probably time to get the Christmas tree out of the bucket out back and into the house.
And the decorations out of the closet.
(As an aside, did you know hydrangeas lose all their leaves in the autumn? Well, I didn’t.)
Time for the cheesy Christmas songs CD.
Tomorrow it should all be looking a bit more like Christmas.

PS I wrote this a couple of days ago, but didn’t get around to posting it because I was blind sided by the sad news that my neighbour and dear friend Pat, three days after his 100th birthday, left this world. Too raw to write about that right now. Needless to say, the tree is still on the deck and the liqueur truffles have not been made. Maybe today.
