Fuckwit loses shit

What is it with Republicans? Just when you think they’ve scraped the bottom of the barrel (with Dubya) for presidential candidates, they come up with the Tangerine Wankmaggot as their top pick. Just when you think the bastards couldn’t do or say anything more ridiculous Ted Cruz decides to pounce on Big Bird. 

It wasn’t just Cruz who lost his shit about the perpetually six-year-old Big Bird announcing on Twitter that he’d just had his first Covid vaccine. Other Republican politicians quickly jumped on the badwagon. 

The response at Fox News to Big Bird appearing on a CNN special about vaccination and then tweeting about receiving his shot was predictably apocalyptic. 

As Sesame Street was quick to point out, this wasn’t Big Bird’s first trip to the rodeo. In 1972 he received the measles vaccine. I don’t remember anyone losing their shit then. (Mind you, the loonie anti-vax movement had yet to hit its stride back then and Mark Zuckerberg had yet to offer his propaganda delivery system.)

Of course the rabid right has had it in for Sesame Street for many years, as this MSNBC story details.

Fast forward to 5:50, if you don’t want the rest of the monologue. (It is quite informative, though. I had no idea President Biden was embroiled in Fartgate.) Particularly enjoyed the audience’s reaction when Cruz’s photo appeared.
