More peas?

June 8, 2023

An afternoon in the garden – until it got too hot. As I swore I would do the other day, I have tackled the main raised bed.

Nice vertiginous angle, eh?

More peas planted – both mangetout (at least I think that’s what sugar snaps are – I’ll be annoyed if I’m wrong) and regular shelling peas.

And, because I’ve had some luck in the past, two rows of lettuce – one of romaine, the other mixed leafy. The lettuce seeds are from 2021 and it’s probably too late to be planting them. (Lettuce like to be planted in cooler weather, don’t they?) So, we’ll see what happens, but maybe, just maybe, I’ll be making my own Caesar salads in a couple of months.

Another cherry tomato has appeared, but no sign of a flower on either of the courgettes. Too early? I think so. Hope so.

Que sera sera.
