The Arsehole Formerly Known as Prince

Ever since Edward VIII abdicated in 1937 in favour of his much more sensible brother, the Duke of York – who became George VI – it seems part of the role of the second born (often known as the spare) is to become tabloid fodder.

First there was Margaret.

Then (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) Randy Andy.

Then, in his worst moment, Heil Hitler Harry.

None of it’s ever been great for The Firm. (If we’re being honest, in his day Jack the Lad York got off a lot lighter than his predecessor or his successor.)

It was a long time coming, but truth and consequences have finally caught up with the Arsehole formerly known as Prince.
