Show time

Well, this is it. Tonight is the world premiere (la di da).

The little play that apparently could. I owe a big thank you to my fellow actor Ben. 

First off, I would never have put this short play forward for production if it hadn’t occurred to me when I was working with him for the first time last year that he would be perfect as James. Happily, he loved the play and wanted to do it.

Second, for encouraging me, when other options had been exhausted, to don a grey wig and play Violet myself. That certainly wasn’t part of the original plan. And yet it’s turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience. 

Finally, for having my back always as we went exploring with these two characters and dug deeper and deeper. I’ve never felt more vulnerable on stage – or safer.

So, as I said, this is it. 

If anyone on the island wants to find out what’s going on with the man in the mirror and me they have four chances, starting tonight.
